Bassam Eid is a Palestinian who has been living 33 years in the Palestinian refugee camp of Shuafat, in northeast Jerusalem. He is a prominent Palestinian human rights activist, and the director of the « Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group ». Because of his personal history and his works as a human right activist, he is in the best position to talk about Israel and about the Palestinian Authority.
PLEASE WATCH THE INTERVIEW UNTIL THE END.
(for reminder, Palestinian refugee camps were not created by Israel, but they were created by the arab countries surrounding Israel to prevent the installation of the fleeing arab population in their own country and not to consider this population as legitimate refugees (with all the rights they should have then). The Arab population who didn't flee and stayed in Israel became the Arab citizens of Israel, which form now 20% of the Israeli population and benefit the same rights as all Israelis).
